Beautification projects are underway all over Hartford during the second annual Love Hartford Week, organized by the City of Hartford and KNOX, Inc. Representing the Northeast neighborhood, Sheldon Oak Central is sponsoring a neighborhood cleanup this Saturday, October 22, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Show your love by volunteering with us this Saturday!
To volunteer, come to the Johnson-Stewart Community Center, 127 Martin Street. The cleanup will be centered on the vacant lot across the street and surrounding areas. Breakfast and lunch will be served to all volunteers.

- Trimming brush and removing an old wooden fence from the lot.
- Painting images on the concrete blocks surrounding the field using stencils.
- Trash pickup along Nelson Street (from Barbour to Garden Streets) and on all of Martin Street and more!
