Sheldon Oak, founded in 1969, is a Hartford-based not-for-profit, tax-exempt urban development corporation. Its mission is to develop, manage, and produce affordable housing for at-risk populations. We are committed to the sustainability of our projects through our network of community centers and the development of commercial real estate necessary for community economic growth. We are proud to have completed over 800 units of decent, community-supported development in the City of Hartford and surrounding communities.
